I’ve just bought linseed paste. Its great.
I haven’t used Prussian Blue or Venetian Red since I started painting. They are hard colours to work with, very strong and very ugly when you catch the wrong colour on your brush. This is the second attempt using these colours as the basis to a painting.
This is a welcome progression in style.

This landscape will be gone in a year or so. Its geography and not human influence. Its nice not to be blamed for destruction of the planet.

Recent etchings, only artist proofs so far. When I have time to kill I’ll make editions. £75 each

About 40 x 30cms. Currently unframed.
Who would have thought stuffed UK birds would cost so much? I took a trip to the Norwich Castle to draw their exhibits for £4. I’d been waiting a year because the birds were in the freezer to kill bugs. The stuffed lions and monkeys look a bit wonky and there are always children around which spoils my enjoyment.
Most birds are very stylish. I particulary like watching crows lob themselves about with sideways skips maintaining very serious looks. Or pigeons working out how to land on something with blank faces and expressionless eyes. Theres nothing nice about them though, they are designed for living and surviving. No wonder so many breeds are endangered with the life we give them. I don’t know what kind of bird this is ( it will cost me £4 to find out) but I know I haven’t seen one in the wild. I have a Robin in my garden and a Wren, the rest are fat stinking Pigeons.
